Sometimes, it takes a little while to think about how best to utilize your car. In my case, I have a stockpile of concert DVD's that I had accumulated during the DVD boom. Lots of good stuff, that generally sit untouched and unutilized in my closet inside my house. As many of you likely know, VIM is disabled in our vehicles (and I can't code otherwise). For day-to-day usage, that kind of took DVD's out of my thought process.

Anyway, this past week, I had a bit of a revelation to try a concert DVD in my SQ5. Now, there should be no surprise that the concert DVDs can play fine in my SQ5. But, being a concert DVD where the music is more important than the video, the concept turned out to be a hit (pun intended). The music will continue to play fine while in motion with video shut off, the car will decode surround sound, it sounds great, and when you happen to come to a stop, the concert video will pop up on the center console screen. Bottom line, I've been having a lot of fun listening to a wide range of concerts in recent days, and have found a way to make use of the stockpile that was sitting in my closet unutilized.

YMMV, but just throwing this out there for anyone that may have some similar stockpiles and may be able to get some mileage out of this.
