I also received the email. My target production completion date is 9/8 as of a few weeks ago. Hopefully progress is near.

Awesome! Very exciting!

I'm gonna head to a corner to go sob, then out back to kick and scream and throw something (really far)!

The last update I got late yesterday, is that there is no progress for me on whichever line it is stuck on.

Cakasky,
I am so sorry. I can only imagine your frustration. Honestly this makes no sense to me but I will be the first to admit I know little or make that nothing about production. If this truly is a wheel issue why not throw something on the cars get them out of the way and let production continue, and change out the wheels later . I am sure you all will fill me in on the million reasons that can't happen but it seems to me either losing business and good will is not productive either.

@cakasky

I am also sorry that the audi gods have really jacked you around. All i can say is that when your Q FINALLY arrives you will be thrilled. I got my first "nice audi" today from the kennel manager at my dogs day camp. I smirked all the way home, my needy customers didn't even phase me today!

May I ask how long did it take for you guys to receive the first email notification regarding your Q5 going into production?

I received the notification it was going into production 81 days after placing my order. I had also received an email when enrolled in the Owner in Waiting notification system.

Default Dare I get depressed?

Ditto 9/1 automated "Your Audi SQ5 has gone into production." Ordered 5/23; original production week 3017 with "Production Complete 07/28/2017(ETA)" and "Dealer Delivery 08/23/2017-09/20/2017(ETA)".

As of 8/28 it changed to "Production Complete 08/09/2017(ETA)."

FWIW, AudiUSA yesterday confirmed "It's in production; but is being held up due to 20" wheel/tire availability."

NOT on dealer website (as of, oh 15 seconds ago).

Also, AudiUSA says this 20" issue is within the range of normal production delays, and AudiUSA is doing nothing to compensate the customers -- said any such would have to come from the dealership itself.

Mine is a Q5 Prestige. I received the in production on August 31 and production complete on Sept 1. It showed up on the dealers website on Sepember 1 and is still there as coming soon. I got soon without a price.
