Yes, lots of people are running E20-E35 blends on a very frequent basis. Go look in a B8/B8.5 forum, or any other boosted vehicle forum, it is very very popular. Nobody runs straight E85, that doesn't make sense on these cars, most everybody is definitely running E10 since that's was most gas stations provide now. I wouldn't do it unless you are tuned, but even if you are not you will see IAT and timing changes as the ECU adapts to the properties of the higher E content. You will not find much support here as it's a Q5 forum, go look at more tuner-friendly forums and you'll see plenty of examples running thousands of miles on mixes just fine.

Thanks. I’ve seen some s4’s and S5’s blending. I blend my ISF 70/30. Added a couple of gallons on the SQ with no significant changes. Was just curious if anyone else has blended to get closer to the 95 octane.

There are plenty of B8.5 cars running E85 (which is as low as E65-70 sometimes) and are tuned for it. EPL and Unitronic are tuners that allow you to tune from home and as such can take advantage of the E85 for a alternative for race gas. That being said they have fuel monitors installed that tells them the E values and most need to replace the fuel pumps to accommodate. After a few years they have found that the Ethanol has a staining effect on the intake manifold but other then that the fuel rails and fuel lines were still in great shape. it makes no sense to use ethanol unless you have the ability to tune for it. If you ask the people that are tuned for it, you will find that E30 is a sweat spot for the power and no hardware changes are needed.

Loco, your car can handle up to E15 and the gas station is selling you E15 fuel. What is the concern?

KaDe was asking about something completely different; He wanted to run E85 in a vehicle not rated for it. There were a few Audis sold in the USA rated for E85 fuel, called FlexFuel engine. Not sure they exist any longer.
