ECM Failure on 2018 Q5 (1 year old)

Has anyone experienced an ECM failure on a 2018 Q5?
I have a 1 year old 2018 Q5 with under 20,000 kms (less than 12,000 mi). Last week I went start my car but the ignition failed, the brake pedal was stuck and suddenly error messages flashed across the virtual cockpit. There were a dozen or so critical messages displayed from transmission malfunction to vehicle lights malfunction, with no accessories working, but the battery seemed fine. Roadside took it by flatbed truck to my Audi dealer. Their response was they've never seen this issue before (not even on another model?) and they called Audi tech support in Germany. At least the dealer rented me an A4.

Now one week later, the Audi service manager finally called and explained that the ECM or Engine Control Module failed, the replacement was ordered from Germany and will take 2 weeks for delivery! WTF?!? Shouldn't the parts come from Mexico? Anyone else have this happen?
Since this is a leased vehicle, am I entitled to a replacement vehicle? or at least compensation for 3-4 weeks of lease payments? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Engines for Q5 still come from Germany. Cars are put together in mexico. Not all parts are manufactured there though.
Sorry to hear this! I am not sure if the dealer would give you a replacement vehicle. He already gave you a loaner. You should ask him though.

I know this post is old, but on my sticker (2018 Q5 purchased new in July of 2018) It said the transmission was made in Germany but the engine was make in Mexico.
