First Oil Change at 5,000 or 10,000? Within one year?
I purchased a used 2018 Q5 a few months back. The car had about 2,500 miles on it. Last week I started getting a notification on my dash that I needed to take my car in for an oil change (currently sitting around 4,500 miles). I called the dealership (different from where I purchased) to schedule an appointment and they informed me that my first oil change would be a 10,000 miles and to give them a call once I was closer to the 10k mark.
From online it looks like the scheduled maintenance does say 10,000 for the first oil change. Is there a reason my dash is telling me it's time for an oil change? The "myAudi" app also is telling me that I am due for oil change.

It's likely the port people set the car's 365 day countdown clock. As long as you have the dealer in the loop, I guess I wouldn't worry about it.
(The USA warranty DOES clearly state that the first oil change comes up at 10,000 miles or 365 days, whichever comes first.)

You definitely should change the oil if the light is on. It means the oil is approaching 1 year old (in fact, probably older). The original selling dealer was supposed to reset the oil service interval as part of their PDI process. This actually doesn't take into account how long your car was in transport or sat on the lot.

OP, as mentioned, it's due at 1 year or 10k miles, whichver comes first, and it's included with the price of the car

If your even wondering a little if the Oil & Filter has been Changed or needs to ??????????????
I'm telling you take it to the Audi Dealership of your CHOICE and have Both the Oil & Filter changed so it's Documented !!!
Good-Luck,
