Default Heating Steering malfunction/warning...
Just had an interesting alert (complete with tone and message in the center dash)... that there was a heated steering malfunction. The button that turns it on and off no longer did anything. However, after awhile, the functionality of the button came back. Looks like an odd intermittent problem.
Anyone else experience this? Suppose I should take it in and see if there are codes to pull.

I had the same experience earlier this winter. By the time I got to the dealer a few days later the codes were gone (or so they said). The heating function started working again later that day and haven’t had a repeat since.

Had same issue a few times over the winter. Each time the functionality came back the next drive so I never took to the dealer.

Same.... two times it threw a code and didn't after that. Maybe it needs to be broken in....

Are you sure that the alert tone wasnt just a "Ding" for more Bacon, as the symbol shows?
