Default Adjust throttle response via VCDS?

Talking with a colleague he mentioned that there is some long coding, or an adaptation, via VCDS to adjust the throttle response. Essentially, you can adjust engine/turbo response by 'how far' you press the throttle pedal and the car responding based on how much you press; or you can adjust it to be more linear (in that as you press the pedal down the engine responds immediately (engine rpm increases and turbo spools faster the faster you press down the pedal, etc).

Is anyone familiar with this or how/where this coding happens in VCDS?

Full disclosure, this guy has never owned a SQ5, but has owned several VW and Audi cars over the past few decades (and currently a Golf GTI).

However figures this out, will be my hero. The throttle delay (which I believe is not due to turbo lag), is driving me crazy. Not only when accelerating from a standstill, but also when increasing speed from e.g. 25 to 45. Either nothing happens, or you have crazy acceleration due to pushing the accelerator too hard because nothing initially happened. I love my car, but this is really annoying.

Is this what the pedal box from DTUK does?

Bummer no one knows about this.

When i get some time this coming weekend I'm going to break out the laptop with VCDS on it and fart around to see if I can find something.

Ususally your throttle position/sensitivity tables are located in the ECM, and are likely not accessible via VAGCOM.

You'll need to wait for a tuner to crack the ECM, which is in progress, but not likely to be a self adjustable item until some sort of interface exists. Considering flash tunes are not even available yet, you are probably a ways out on that.

I feel the exact same way about my SQ5's throttle response...regardless of mode.
