No. We now have 10k miles on our '18 Q5 P+. Prior to the 10k service, the oil level was identical to the day we purchased it on the digital readout.

Does anyone else feel compelled to purchase an oil dip stick?

6100 km in and no issues with oil consumption.

Previous Audi's tended to drink a lot of motor oil. Case in point the 2017 Q7 3.0T (supercharged) loaner I had with 5900 miles was really close to the low oil line via MMI. The SQ5 is fine, at least mine seems to be thus far.
