I still have time to make the change and don't know if I will regret not getting the 20s. My dealer is telling me the 18s are the safer bet overall. Any advantage/disadvantages? Thanks all
You could always compromise on the 19s.

I dealt with Kit Chief at the dealer. He is very honorable and straight forward. A pleasure to do business with. Contact him if you need a new Q5. They just received about 40

Fell free to ask me any questions. I do have the driver information cockpit. It is super trick. Also have the 20 inch wheels
Congrats! I have one on order, can't wait to see one in person. Is it Mythos Black or Brilliant?

The Pros and Cons of 18" vs. 20" wheels are numerous on both sides. Ultimately it will depend on what characteristics you covet more...

18" - Cheaper Tires, Softer Ride
20" - Better Handling, Sportier Look

Since you're in NY you should probably get a set of winter wheels/tires. If that's the case why not go 20" for Spring/Summer/Fall and then get an 18" set for your winter use.

In ny, personally, i've never had a problem with the all seasons in the winter (and this is on my 2009 s5). i was hoping it would be the same, or better, with the q5.

NYC area. Car used only for pleasure. My dealers first response was the 20s are not good with pot holes..would the 20 inch change the dynamics of the ride because they are higher/taller ride?

Here's an article which should address your question.

Default 2018 Q5 audio

Thanks all for putting up with my questions. My order is in but I am still able to make any changes. The o and b audio upgrade is it worth it and why. This is my first real luxury car and I have been driving 40 years, so I don't want to screw up. Thanks!

I think mostly depends on you. If it's an about town car and all you listen to is radio then maybe not. If you love music and take longer trips go for it. Good music with a good speaker system is awesome and the price is right. Go for it!
