MY22 Q5 - Semiconductor shortage package
I see some of the new Q5 45 TSFI premium pluses have a "Semiconductor shortage package" on the sticker with $1,200 credit. The package includes: "Deletes Adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam assist; Deletes Audi active lane assist & Audi phone box; Deletes Audi side assist & rear cross traffic warning."
It is hilarious that this thing is called a "package," and $1200 seems pretty low for what it removes.
Window sticker seems to be generated after port arrival, and I have a Q5 55 e premium plus that should be arriving at the port next week. It will be a deal-breaker for me if adaptive cruise control is gone.
I wonder if any recent Q5 owners see a similar "package," if so what trim do you have?

OMG, what a mess! I can't believe Audi is selling vehicles with all those safety features deleted. It's one thing to delete a second key or a phone box, but safety features that can't be added later just to make a sale I wonder if they've modified the owners manuals showing the loss of those features? I wonder if the information on the loss will follow the vehicle through its future used market sales. I wonder how owners will be informed of the loss other than the window sticker (once the sticker is off, will they remember what safety features the vehicle is missing)? I know there are die-hard Audi fans that will stick with the brand no matter what, but I suspect Audi may be taking a risk with market share once word gets out.

What he said! I'd be miffed losing a touchscreen, heated sears or waiting for a key. But active cruise control, lane assists? Back in 2018 that was waaaaaayyyy more than $1200 USD on my car! And how bad would that kill the resale of it?

Makes it pretty simple. I wouldn't buy it.
We have a deposit down on a competing brand (delivery expected about 4 weeks from now, give or take). Asked the salesman if there were going to be things deleted or only one keyfob or anything like that because of the chip shortage. "Of course not."

I did some digging around with available window stickers. Assuming VIN is continuous, so far, there are two deletion patterns across 45 Regular Q5 and Sportback with the last few digits of VIN# greater than 20 68200, everything before 68200 has been without deletion related to these features.
Also haven't seen any SQ5 variants with VIN greater than 2068200, so won't know for sure.
- For Premium, it is a $350 credit with "DELETE - Audi side assist & rear cross traffic warning"
- For Premium Plus, it is the $1200 credit "Semiconductor shortage package"
- Haven't seen any 45 or 45 Sportback Prestige with VIN greater than 2068200, would expect the same credit for PP or no deletion at all.
