Nav Update
I got a message the other day that a nav update was available and of course I accidentally clicked through the message before reading it completely. Is there a way to "manually" initiate this update or do I just have to wait until the option appears again?
Thanks,
Virg

I know I should have gone the RTFM route but I figured someone here would know faster than me trying to hunt it down. Thanks for the tip.

Online map update in the car only downloads one region.
Download the entire update to an SD card thru your My Audi account with your computer & you get the entire US (& Canada & Mexico - I believe).
Lots of threads about this on the 4M Q7 & B9 A4 forums.

I did go to My Audi and downloaded the entire update but it seemed to be a small jnlp file. I was assuming it would be a much larger file but perhaps it's just used to kick off an over the air update still?

Scratch that, figured it out. Have to make sure the file opens with the appropriate java app and then you can download the update.

Make sure you transfer all the files to the SD card & they're all in the root directory - not in any separate folder. Otherwise the car can't find them to start the update.
