They've told me very little other than it's impacting about 1,000 units - I'd be speculating beyond that. It's related to the brakes, but I don't know anything other than that. I'm hoping for a quick resolution.

Same here, our SQ5 was completed April 18, not sure what week that is. It is at the dealer and the stop sale was issued the day before we were supposed to pick it up. All I know is that it is brake related and the dealer has not received the full details of what the recall entails.
When I spoke to the dealer on Monday they did not have a complete scope as to the vehicles effected.

Brake recall..
well that didn’t last long - had my q5 prestige for about two weeks - Audi head office in the USA, and the dealer asked for it back !!
seems there is a problem with the production run recently - rear brake issue. They wanted it back real real bad (5+ phone calls and 10+ emails over a period of 12 hours).
at least they gave me a 2018 Q5 loaner, they really are serious about getting these cars in the production run off the road !

Good of thing about it is that they found that there is a issue so you do t have the bring the car in after a few days of taking delivery.
Better safe than sorry!

based on their insistence to get the car off the road - I agree with you completely. I will let everyone know if / when I hear more..
