Thanks. I'll listen again for the ABS. In the meantime, the weather here today is supposed to be slushy and all. I'll try locking the brakes up in a local parking lot just to confirm that the system is operating.

It seems to only happen once, after a cold start (ie overnight) around that 40kph / 25mph area.

Not going to worry bout it. Lousy sloppy slushy here today, and found out the ABS system works soopah doopah. Thanks for walking me through the process, but I guess my car is ok. Will ask service people about not being able to hear/feel the system testing itself when I go in for next oil change.
On to the next issue!!
