Q5 2018 Traffic Info.
#2
Mine gives me only traffic reports for highways and parkways (nyc). local street traffic outside manhattan sometimes doesnt pop up. But 50 miles away is weird. Does anyone know if the traffic is based off google traffic or siruisXM??

Traffic is provided by Inrix.

Inrix is crap. I cant tell you how many times here in DFW where map of highways are green and you roll up into a moving road block.
Sirius (in my 14 Q5) was almost 95% correct.
I'm hoping when this audi connect finally expires, I can add back in Sirius traffic here in 3 months and ditch Inrix.

I am 2 miles from the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey and as I said earlier I never get any local traffic info. By local I mean that it is always 50 - 60 miles away. I had a 2016 Q5 that gave me 100 percent accurate local traffic info. Also my wife has a 2017 A8 that has again perfect traffic info. I put the Q5 and A8 side by side in the driveway and checked the info.. The A8 showed a lane closed on the bridge, and problems on two local roads 2-3 miles away. the Q5 showed a problem 62 miles away upstate NY and 50 miles away in Ct. My Audi dealer is working this and I am in contact with Audi USA corporate. The real question no one has answered is it just my car or endemic with 2018 Q5's in this area.
I love the car besides this issue.

In my pursuit of trying to get my Info fixed Audi's engineers have told me that in the latest software they do not sort by the closest, but rather sort in the following order; Interstate, State, County, then local streets. Your display makes sense according to them. If you scroll all the way down do you find local stuff ??

Based on the Sirius website and attempting to add the infotainment package to the 2018 SQ5, it's not yet available for the model.
Calling Sirius, they couldn't confirm it either.
Looks like if you're going through the factory navigation, we're stuck for the time being. Waze on the iPhone it shall be
