Recommended Bang & Olufsen 3D Sound Settings?
For those of you who have the B&O sound system, what sound settings are you using? I understand this is very subjective but I'm curious b/c I'm still trying to dial-in my settings and I don't feel it's as good (yet) as what I had on my 2012 BMW X5 sound system (I had the upgraded 'premium' sound system from the factory).
Specifically, what 3D setting are you using? So far, I've left mine at the default (think the setting is 'medium').
Any other suggestions?
What I'm finding is that the sound doesn't have enough mid-range and low-range or too much (and the highs are drowned-out).

my dealer SA swears the best setting is like this- (for illustrative purposes using a -5 to +5 scale):
bass = 0
treble = 1
sub = 1
focus = all
3D/surround = high
fader = -2 (slightly rear bias that enhances the surround effect)
after doing this i do have to admit it does sound cleaner overall. I feel like i'm still in the experimental phase with the MMI but the times I've tried upping the bass and treble as i usually would I end up going back to this setting. Give it a try.

I’ll have to give those settings a try. Thanks.
I adjusted Ted my settings more over the weekend and got it sounding a bit better but not perfect. I wish we could control the mid range.

What is the source you are using? If digital audio tracks from, say a portable media player or phone, were these recorded with an EQ setting or flat? If the recorded tracks were EQ'd with over-emphasis on the treble and bass settings, the mid-range will definitely be lacking when played back in any sound system. Also, the highs when boosted further by the car's treble controls will sound distorted and shrill.

Often depends on the type of music you listen to as well as sound preference. I find the system lacks midrange warmth and sounds a bit thin when set flat with all the processing turned off and I’m a longtime audiophile purist. My preference after lots of tweaking around is to crank the surround and 3d sound settings well toward max and push the treble to +2 and push the bass to +1. I recognize that this is adding a lot of stuff to the signal path but I find that cranking the surround and 3d just fills out the sound and adding a bit of treble gives the sound a more open and transient sound, giving more life to the midrange. A bit more pop in the bass adds some more dynamic slam. Tone controls usually are centered near the frequency extremes where lesser recordings are often lacking. I listen to classic rock, alternative, etc and don’t listen at extreme volume levels, not good for ones ears. I’m pretty happy with the system set that way. Regards. Ned.
