Difference between comfort/dynamic and D/S
For my SQ5, I typically drive in dynamic drive select mode. Occasionally, I will drive in individual mode; where steering is dynamic, air suspension is auto and transmission is dynamic.
Using the shifter, I can switch between D and S. Is D and S essentially changing the transmission from comfort to dynamic and vice versa?
So if I set drive select to comfort, and shifter to S; this is the equivalent of being in individual mode with steering as comfort, air suspension as comfort and transmission as dynamic?

It is a bit confusing for sure but I would say your assumption is accurate.
According to the owners manual, a drive select mode of Dynamic is the same as "S" in the shifter.

I actually just discovered the D to S a few days ago lol. I always wondered why in Dynamic mode sometimes the car would hold onto a lower gear and have much better throttle response and other times it would just act like it's in Comfort mode.
Basically you can be in any drive select mode (Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, etc) and you still have the option of putting the car into S mode by simply pulling the shifter back. From what I can tell S mode makes the transmission hold onto a lower gear and also improves throttle response.
