Default Window Tinting

Hello all! Looking to get the windows of my 2018 Q5 tinted and I wanted to get some recommendations.

1. How dark should I go? I am down in South Florida and the legal limit is 28%,
2. What type of window tint should I go with?

Thanks!

I went with Llumar CTX Ceramic 15% on front windows. Llumar CTX Ceramic 50% over the factory tinted privacy glass on rear and hatch windows so all windows match. Llumar Ceramic Air Blue 80 tint on windshield and the heat rejection is incredible. On a sunny day you can touch the windshield and it feels barely warm, touch the panoramic sunroof glass and the skin on your fingers about melts off. Huge difference. You can't tell the windshield is tinted at all too. I'm going to do the sunroof before summer with either Air 80 or Ceramic 50% since the ceramic's heat rejection is so good.

Unless you have a light transmission meter it would be really hard to tell that this is overall 15%. The sunroof let's a lot of light into the cabin, honestly mine looks like 30% in most conditions.

I have llumar ctx 40% all around and quite happy. Also planning on air 80 for the windshield and roof before summer. Had it on my last car and it was really nice

I live in SW Florida and find the window tint that came with the car to be sufficient. My last car had extra tint on the windows and I had trouble seeing out of the drivers side window when taking a left turn at night.
But then again, I am old fart.

I am in West Palm Beach, and I got the LLUMAR FormulaOne Auto Tint Stratos Series 50% on all previously tinted windows and moonroof, 15% on front, and 70% on windshield.

It looks perfect, and the solar rejection in amazing. I had the windshield done last, after a trip to Orlando when my arms were burning from the sun on the way home. 70% is not noticeable from inside day or night.

I went with 20% on the front windows. I think it matches quite nicely.
