What is the cheapest way to get Bluetooth into the Q7 with Boss sound system?

I do not want to replace the radio. I have no problems soldering splicing things in.
I see a device that adds USB for $470, but that is a bit too much.
There has to be cheaper ingenious ways to splice things in than spending that kind of money. I rather not do the FM Transmitter things.
I've seen in other cars splicing to the read heads on the tape deck, but there is no Cassette to do that with.

I'm in the same boat as you. If you don't have AMI, your options are AMI retrofit, or a FM modulator.

parrot? i never used one or installed one but i see several people have them in older vehicles.

Oh, also you could do a dension gateway 500s bt. That's around $350-400.
