07 seat height
test drove a 2007 sport Q7 yesterday. Wife didnt like that she had to duck to get into the car without hitting her head on the door jamb. Was just wondering if all Q7's were like this? Tried to lower the seat as much as possible but it didnt do much good.

How tall is your wife??? I'm 6'4" and the Q7 is the most comfortable vehicle for me I have driven.. Also, there is no such thing as a "Q7 Sport" unless it's the sport plus for 2015... Do you mean S-Line?

Maybe.. How far back was the seat when she got in, sometimes when I get in if the seat is far forward I hit my head, but when it's far back I have no problem.. I guess it's one of the downsides of having a sleek SUV with a nicely pitched roof line.. You could always go with one of those ugly box SUV's called the Chevy Tahoe. Haha! What engine did it have? How many miles? Did you like it? They are great cars, i love mine, looked at many vehicles too, and the Q7 was the all around best SUV in my opinion..

Definitely look at another Q7.. It's a great SUV, you won't be disappointed, and honestly, an S-Line 4.2 with 91,000 is a good vehicle.. Were they asking too much? There's a couple of Q7s with 200k+ out there.. They are good running vehicles.. They will last forever if treated correctly

$15,900?! That's very reasonably priced for a 4.2 S-Line... Is the one with 56k a 3.6? The 3.6 isn't really all that good of an engine, when I was looking at the Q7s I was also looking at a 2010 3.6 base, and it was the facelift, so it had that going for it, but it was a complete dog, never in a million years would I have been happy with that, I honestly thought something was wrong with the engine on the 2010 model until I went to look at a 2009 S-Line 3.6 and it was the exact same. Then I stumbled upon my 2008 4.2 Premium Non S-Line and it was love at first sight.. Lol.. There's nothing better than hearing the roar of the V8 under the hood when accelerating. Good luck! Whichever Q7 you choose, you'll like it, just make sure you have a scan run on it before buying, make sure there is no hidden issues.

You can have the 3.6 reprogrammed. Max torque input to the ZF transmission is 295lb-ft. My 3.6 is at that level according to the company that did the code. It helps, as it also bumps power beyond 300. I've been getting 22mpg highway pretty easily (around 550mi usable range with 1.5 gallons left in the tank). So we use the 3.6 for long trips. The 4.2 has tow duty (it too is reprogrammed).
