2007 Q7 Aerial / antenna booster
Hi Guys ,
I shorted out my antenna booster I believe. I do pick up stations driving through the city occasionally and they fade as I leave the city. I am talking within 15 miles of the city so I should have clear reception but I don't. I believe I shorted it out when installing my wired fm modulator. Anyway a little confused where the antenna booster is , c pillar ? or in rear roof or in rear hatch against window ?? c pillar where is that ? or is it in the rear roof ? Does it have a fuse ? I think my tuner is fine since I get reception clearly in some areas , just the booster not working.
thanks and much appreciated if you have pictures or tutorial yes I tried looking

Thanks D3 no the reception is bad because I think I shorted out the antenna or something along the lines maybe a relay or hidden fuse when I was installing the FM modulator. I was trying to find a loose connection and one of the antenna wire touched chassis. It blew the fuse for the radio but i believe the radio is ok since i still get stations occasionally as I am driving for maybe 10 yards will get a strong signal then it fades. Just trying to find the antenna booster ? anyone know ?

The FM radio antennas are the "defroster like lines" printed on the 3rd row side windows. The antenna booster circuit boards are bolted to both of the C pillars behind the interior trim with the C pillar AC vents.
