2007 Q7 Temp gauge/coolant

2007 Q7 Temp gauge/coolant
I have a 2007 Q7 4.2L with 115kmiles. The temperature gauge is rising to HOT level and the Coolant warning light is on within minutes of starting the car. No smoke or burnt odor. Topped off coolant with the Audi pink coolant. Also, thermostat and sensor were replace about 6 months ago. Not sure, if this is related but noticed that there is some hesitation when I press the gas. Is it safe to drive? Any suggestions or comment, greatly appreciated

Just wondering if you ever managed to get bottom of this issue. I have a similar issue on 2007 Audi Q7 3LTR Diesel. Replaced the water pump and thermostat, still no joy. I did see something on this forum about being another thermostat, so I have recommended that to the garage.
