2009 Q7 Rear Sunshade latch/clip
The striker/clip on my rear shade, see attached pic (the one that moves and releases when you press in has broken.) I tried to epoxy a metal dowelish type rig to get it to catch the hook. It works ok, but after some movement of the vehicle pops out and the shade retracts.
I have searched forums and genuineaudiparts.com for a replacement/part number, but don't seem to have any luck. Can someone please post a part number for what I need, or for a better fix?

It's part of the roller blind assembly. Illustration 877-00, line item 28, roller blind, rear, 4L0877307C is the roller blind listed for 2007. Sorry, my source doesn't go newer than that but I'd assume it to be the same part. Your local dealer could look it up for you to be sure.

That's funny, mine broke last week. Fix it with plastex.
The latch held by two T20 screws from top. You can use your finger to search the holes first.
You need to have T20 key to get to screws.
It's hard since you can't see the screws, but it can be done.
Just patiently try to find the slot to turn the screw. Took me about 3 minutes to get one out.
Gook Luck.

That part is listed as for 2010-2014 cars, so you should definitely contact a dealer first before ordering it. The 2007 catalog shows no repair kits for the latch, just the whole roller blind.

The part is 4LO898924B
I can confirm this as I just bought it yesterday from the stealership for $60.00. It comes with both the black and the grey handle so you do not have to worry about color. Could also sued the black in a pinch and I doubt anyone would really notice...so i guess I have a spare now for the next time it brakes.
Install is easy with a t20 torx bit (needs to be a small one as it has to fit between the glass and top of the sunshade. It is helpful to have someone hold it half way open then you can stand on the rear tire and peer down in to see what you will be working on because once you are in the back you ca't really see what you are doing up there.
All in all very easy job.
