Default 2009+ Q7 w/ 3rd Row Seating...

doesnt have the seat belt locks in the floor to lock the straps in when not in use? (2007 has buckls on the side that you would buckle into when not in use i dont see them on 2009+)

i have a 2008 and when the 3rd row is not in use the seat belts are retracted into the roof lining right at the rear.

makes it a lot tidier and cleaner.

same here but what about the buckles? where do you click them in?

2009+ doesnt seem to have the locking receptacles as 2007/2008 USDM Q7:

2007-2008

see how they clip in between the seats into the floor?

when not in use the belts are fully retracted to the roof.

so the belts arent clipped in like shown in the pictures.

Insert the ignition key into a slot in receiver of row 3 belts. This releases the entire belt to retract all the way.

Just went out to check it - nope, it's bolted dead. I guess it is different for the US...

same here... not available on mine. i think this is a regional issue which varies from region to region but i do know that my 2007 had locks along side the seats to click the belts into when not in use instead of flapping around in the rear. the 2009+ does not seem to have this feature. not sure why but if it is another cost cutting issue it is pathetic.

In my '10, there's a slit that's part of the trunk area that you can slide the seat belt into, which holds the buckle above the cargo cover. The slit also helps to keep the seatbelt nicely clinging to the side, so no loose slack or anything. I think that's why it's there, although I didn't read the manual. Maybe it's for another purpose, but that's what I'm using it for.
