Has anyone had the hood release cable break or become unattached? This happened to me about a year ago and it just happened again. Last time the mechanic ended up using a sawsall to cut the latch. Is there another way to get at the latch release. Thru the drivers side wheel well maybe? Also, I think I read where someone removed the front grille to gain access. Just to comment, I've had all makes and models of vehicles in my life and never ever had a hood release malfunction. Is this an Audi known issue?
