2011 Q7 -Upper timing Chain Tensioner needs replacment - $5000 quote
Hi Guys,
I had the recent pleasure of hearing a ticking noise coming from my engine. I took it to the dealer and after running some diagnostics, they provided me with a $5K quote for the repair of the upper timing chain tensioner.
I know the dealership is quoting me higher than many other shops would, but I live in a small town where I don't really trust any of the other garages around here with my car.
I would like to ask if anyone here has gone through a similar issue ? advice ? or warnings ? are their other components I should have replaced while they have me bent over ?
