Default 2012 seat conversion question for the illumanati

I have developed an issue with my 2012 Q7. I have an old injury (lower back/right hip) from an aircraft ejection long ago and it is now causing me problems. After driving for an hour to an hour and a half I have to stop and walk around a bit to kill the pain.
I used to have an S4 and the seat bottoms could be pulled out in the front which supported my legs better and I didn't have this issue and I have a line on some 2010 S4 front seats. How hard would it be to swap them in? Plug and play or heavy engineering? I think they would solve my issue at least temporarily (as you age these things have a way of coming back and haunting you!)
What does the Illuminati think about attempting something like this? I really like my Q7 but it is becoming a bit of a pain! 8^P
Thanks!

Would it not be easier to source some s-line seats from a Q7 as I am guessing you have comfort seats fitted.
If you only have heated seats it should be a direct fit, but if you have heated and cooled comfort seats you may have to change the air conditioning control panel too.

To be honest i doubt the S4 seats would be a direct fit.

Maybe the C6 (2005-2011) Audi S6 seats will fit.. Hmmm.. Or Porsche Cayenne Turbo seats? It has to be possible.

my Q7 is an S-line prestige with every option. The cooled seats are nothing but a fan in the seat that draws air through the seat and evaporates the heat from your body. They are only marginally effective IMHO and the I have had the same experience in my CL 55 and my new Silverado. Thy work but......

the cayenne turbo seats are not quite right unless they have some super upgrade that I am not aware of. The S6 is a good idea! thanks! I will have to look into that. My favorite seats are in a Jaguar XKR black pack edition but I don't think that will work without some cubic dollars spent, they are recaros however.....maybe I need to contact Recaro!

I am not sure if the European Q7's have a different range of seats.
My Q7 seats have a pull-out support for the middle of your thigh, although I find the seats fine without using it really.

My seats are the same as these -

Hmmm. Looks like the Euro Q7 does come with optional sport seats. I wonder if it would be a direct swap with wiring and everything? I imagine it would be. I'm surprised Audi never offered that as an option in the USA.. Especially on the S-Line. I wonder if anyone over in Europe has made the swap..?
