Gonna get crucified here, but...
Discount Tire has some 295/35/21 Nankings for $800 installed. I've got 18K on them and have used 35%ish from install with rotate/balance 3x and 2 alignments. We don't have much snow in Seattle, but they do great on blacktop, sun or rain and just fine climbing some of the forest roads or driving on the beach. I can replace them 3x before I get to the cost of one set of the others.

I'm on my second set of Pirellis Scorpion Zero
On my 2013 Q7 S line with the air suspension I can tell you that in dynamic and sometimes in comfort mode the front tires rub against something inside the wheel well when in tight spots or parking lots, if I turn it up to off-road mode the rubbing sound goes away. It's a small price to pay in order to have larger profile tires which I can't really tell if ride is better since I've always felt that with the air suspension the car has a quite harsh ride, but maybe it's because of Mexican roads. The picture is the code of my first set of large tires right before replacement for a new set of the same ones. They cost practically the same as the factory spec ones.

its not your air suspension giving you a harsh ride, I'm rocking 17's with air suspension.. smooth as butter.. far more comfortable than my 20s were.
