2018 Q7 has needed oil 3x in 14k miles
Hi! I came here looking for others experiencing oil consumption issues. My 2018 Q7 (purchased new) has needed oil 3x since I bought it. It has 14k miles on it. They did an oil consumption test, which came back stating the oil consumption was “permissible”. By my calculations, I need oil about every 4000-4500 miles.
This is is my 4th Audi (previous 2001 A4, 2008 Q7, currently own a 2015 A6 and a 2018 Q7). This is the first one to need oil between changes. I’m not happy.
Anyone else experiencing this?

your in gen1 forum, try the gen2.. but its not uncommon for new engines to burn a lil oil for the first few changes while everything seats.. your supposed to change oil @ 5k and then again at 10k IIRC, then every 10k after that.. so you've had one unscheduled top off so far it seems.. just monitor it, you got a warranty for a good while still, if it dont go away then start a warranty claim.
Also drive it aggressively from time to time now, give it a good ole italian tune up.. if you do a bunch of short trips at low load and temps then you might just be getting excessive blowoff.
