Default 2018 Q7 rear light stress fractures

Has anyone else experienced stress features in the rear light asembly? (hopefully I'm using the right terminology)?

I've been reading other articles and this seems to be a systemic issue for other models.

I did not notice the fractures once it left the lot, and am looking for your advice.

Thank you,

That looks like it has had a body repair under the light whihc was probably the cause of the dmage to the light.

I should have mentioned this, but it's a new vehicle off of an Audi dealership.

I would meet with a service rep and ask him to explain what happened. It looks like a bad repair took place there.

Looks like it was scraped in a parking lot to me.

I forgot to reply to this post, but I bought the vehicle in 2019 just a couple weeks after this post. Being the issue happened to all of the rear light assemblies, Audi ended up repairing it under warranty, and confirmed it to be a manufacturing defect with the light assemblies as the glue stopped adhering properly.
They did check the other Audi vehicles in the lot, and there was just one other vehicle it happened to, and they reported it to Audi.

Nice follow-up: You may want to post this into the correct forum for your GEN 2, 4M Chassis/ MARK II Q7 (2016 - ?)

This is the GEN 1 Q7 (2005-2015) Forum.

Happy New Year!
