Default 22" Wheels & Tires

I'm driving a 2012 Q7 Prestige (S-line) and want to get new rims and tires. The rims I selected (Giovanna Dramadio) come in a 9" or 10.5" but both recommend a 285/35/22 tire. Should I purchase the 9" or 10.5" width? Also, what recommendations do you have for 285/35/22 all-season tires?

I had 265/35/22 but I had to use 14mm spacers to clear the front calipers. Make sure you have the right offset on the my rims 45 and I still needed spacers.
I recently will be running 295/35r21 on BBS RX519 21x10.5 front & rear these have an offset of 52. I'm waiting for the ties but I test fited the rims and they seem to clear

10 or 10.5. Don't believe recommended tire sizes for Q7 285/35R22 or 295/25R22 are designed to run on anything less than 10 safely. I run 285/35R 22. Have used Toyos Proxes ST II and Yokohama. Like the Toyo for summer not so much for year round. Yokohama's were better year round. The rims I have are 55 offset no spacers.

Just installed 22X9 Rohana RC10 offset +42 all around.
Tires Yokohama Parada Spec-X 285/40R22; wanted a little more of

I like the added sidewall but how are these holding up for you? any issues with the 40 sidewall? I ask because that is over a 4% difference over OEM

It depends on your personal preferences. If you like agressive look, go with 10.5, if you are more conservative, go with 9.
285/35R22 is too low for me. But if you are LOW RIDER, go with it. I use Yokohama Parada Spec-X 285/40R22 all-season tires.

Go for the 10.5". I went to a local tire shop and they said that if you want more sidewall, you can run a 265/40-22 on a 9"-10" wheel. (You need to ask if this tire size will work with a 10.5" wide wheel.) Wheel diameter will be slightly larger with this tire, but it will provide more cushioning against potholes damaging your 22's.

They were trying to sell me a wheel/tire pkg deal with Nexen Roadian tires, but I've never heard of them. Anyone here have any feedback on the Nexan tires? Otherwise, I'll go with a bigger name brand tire.
