I'm working my way through some maintenance on a new to us '12 Q7 with the 3.0 TFSI. While I was cleaning out the airbox when replacing the air filter I noticed something awry/broken with the Airbox Cover. It seems there is this protrusion that appears as though it would have a line connect to it that is open to unfiltered air, yet its on the clean side of the air box. So basically its letting a small amount of unfiltered air in, which isn't great. It does appear as though something "broke" off this end, as its not a clean flat surface at the tip. I've attached some pictures below. Also if anyone knows what this random clip on the air intake tube is, i'd love to know. I looked around for lines that might go to both the airbox as well as the clip on the intake tube, and didn't see anything. Thanks!
