3.6 v6 Motors in Q7, Touarag, Passat the same?
Basically my Q7 3.6 has had the infamous oil pump failure. And I now have an expensive Q7 that's worth nothing. Looking at putting a used engine in it as I can quite justify the $11k Audi want for a new one. One I'm looking at is from a Touareg. Does anyone know if it's a case of a straight swap to put a 3.6 v6 engine from a 2010 Touareg (vin F, 5th digit) into a 2007 Audi Q7 (vin Y, 5th digit)?

That's where I'm looking. But the cheapest one from a Q7 is $3200 on 75k miles. But I've found one from a Touareg, on 41k miles, for $2200. They are both the BHK engine, just wondered if there were any differences between except the badge on the intake manifold.
