Adaptive Air Suspension on Q7
Does anyone have this and think it is a "must have" or does anyone not have it with huge regrets? Seems hard to find this, s-line, and tow package in dealer inventories.

I would rather wait to get the air suspension than get regular spring suspension. The ride is great, dynamic mode gives you a whole different feel! Comfort mode just soaks up bumps, and the rear end dip to load is used all the time.

go test drive one and you'll see why you need it. I'm not sure of long term wear and tear but I got the extended warranty just for this feature.

I test drove an 08 4.2 with it and bought an 11 TDI without it. I was shopping for towing with advanced key ( Prestige only). To me the TDI and a newer vehicle were far more important. The dip for loading was cool and I'm sure I would have liked the self leveling when towing. I did not notice huge differences in ride and handling. There is long term maintenance to consider too.

I test drove both and chose to go without it. Couldn't detect a big difference so decided it wasn't worth the money or potential problems. Love the ride in my 2012 S-line Sport with 21" wheels.

No problems
Hi,
I have an 07 S-Line 4.2 with the air, and I must say, the difference between the modes is fairly subtle unless I'm pushing the vehicle fairly hard. I have had zero maint issues with it going on 92,000 miles.
Cheers,
Tyler

I live in Ireland. Our roads are pretty bad in places but certainly very varied. I air on my Q7 since 2006 and still think it is great. It can transform the feel of a road. I have tow, S-Line and TDI.
In tow mode suspension can get harder but not lower so it will maintain the correct trailer aspect but still give you the option to adjust for road type or speed.
6 years ago I thought the paddles, adjustable suspension and sport mode were all a bit gimicky and that I would settle into one setting and leave it there. I can say now of the three I still use the suspension settings more than the others its that good and that responsive.
