Default Adaptive Headlight Error

I've scoured the web for a Q7 specific thread on the adaptive headlight errors but only find them for other models (mostly ~2006 A6's).

Has anyone had this occur in their Q7?

I have a 2013 and after a heavy rainstorm I saw a considerable amount of condensation on the interior of the drivers side headlight. Since then, the annoying warning comes on intermittently, no real rhyme or reason. Ran VAG on it and no errors there. Do I have to replace it? Is there any way to shut off the warning?

When I had it a year ago on my 2015, it turned out to be a failed headlight range control module. Mine was under warranty, but they said $450 for the part alone if done out of pocket.

I do get the error message, but only get it when the Chicago temperature is low. But also I haven’t driven with the head lights on in a while, I only use the fog lights, except when rolling out of town on the highway.
