Just purchased a 2007 Q7 and new to some of the terminology but getting up to speed.

Our Q7 has the MMI (color, high resolution) screen. There is a Nav button but Nav is not installed. There is also no TV tuner of any kind installed.

I would like to add a reverse/back-up camera that automatically activates when the car is in the reverse gear. The camera is the easy part. The video interface is what I'm not sure about.

I see several interfaces from google searches. Does anyone have any advice on which one works for the least cost? And with all of these, it seems it simply interrupts the Nav-to-Screen signal. Does that mean that the Nav button has to be selected in order for the reverse camera to work?
