Fixed
I think I have the same problem.
On the passenger side (dashboard area), I hear a whine. The fan of the A/C either stops or is moving very slowly. The problem is intermittent. If I turn the A/C off for a few minutes, it starts working again.
If you are able to fix it, let me know and what you did. If I find anything out, I'll post back here.

They die with a clean pollen filter too. Ours did last summer at about 80k miles. That was a HOT 400 mile ride home from Charleston SC :-/ The compressor shuts down when the front does not have airflow and you have no rear air either. At least ours did.

Thanks for posting this. All the videos and advice out there involved removing the entire glove box. Any other advice about the process. About to do this myself. Thanks, again.

Th efan has just stopped working, them is making a wurring noise, it intimately turns on and off any clues ? My mechanic asked me to hit the dashboard to see if it came back on and it did but went off again.
I have tried to attach a video but it wont allow for some reason

You’ll need a new blower eventually. Watch post #6 above. I did that on ours and it lasted over a year. Started squeaking and stalling again though and I bought a motor. Very inexpensive on Amazon and seems to work just as well as OEM. Several years ago we had one fail on our 2011 Q7 also. I paid the dealer several hundred dollars to do that one.

I know Amazon has better prices, but for that part which seems to go quicker than it should, I decided to buy one from fcpeuro.com. This way I'll never have to pay for it again.

Ditto on sourced mine from FCP Euro at a really fair price for the OEM part; a fairly simple DIY swap, although not one I would want to be doing every couple of years. I intend to keep the car so buying an HVAC blower motor that will last was my priority; FCP Euro also provides lifetime warranty on parts, so it was a win-win.
