My Q7 and S5 have the same issue.

If vehicle is off, door open, radio button on MMI pushed, radio comes on and can't be turned off.

Examples:

Cleaning the inside of my S5, inadvertently pushed radio button while cleaning console. Could not turn it off. Had to get fob, start/stop car.

Took my dog to kennel today. Turned Q7 off, opened driver door, and got out. Dog stepped on radio button while crossing over. Radio turned on, could not turn it off. Locked vehicle, went inside, came back 10 minutes later, radio still on (could hear it from outside)!

Has happened several other times. Only way to turn it off is start/stop vehicle.

Anyone else? Annoying!

In the MMI manual, it says if you switch on the MMI with the ignition key removed, the system is available for 10 minutes. If you press a button (function button, control button or control ****) before this time is up, the system is available for another 10 minutes. So it can be on for maybe 20 minutes total sometimes!

You can mute it, and it will auto-shut off.. or you can just press the power button on the dashboard next to the screen, but then you'll have to push it again to turn it back on the next time you start it.
