antenna repair for Q5
 

2015 model Q5, which I backed into the garage door and ripped the antenna cover off. Dealer estimate to replace is north of $700 but also the part is on backorder. Can I use epoxy or marine sealant to hold the cover on until a replacement is available?

PS the radio functions work fine

what? if it's only the cover that's damaged just buy a cheap replacement from china. max 20$

Yeah, cover is just fine, only need to re-attach it to antenna base. Current advice is to use marine grade silicon 5200. Looking for confirmation.

Had the same issue on my old 2007 Q7 and cost me 2000 for the repairs. 1000 for the garage door and 1000 for parts and body shop since they have to be painted.
