Thinking on purchasing a VCDS, if there is anyone with a 2007-2009 pre facelift Q7, could you see if there is an option to turn off cold diagnostics? Cold diagnostics sends quick pulses to each bulb, but when having LED bulbs, it causes the LEDs to strobe. That's the most important thing I need to change, I'm curious if it's possible.

Thanks for that info, I don't even know where it would be in the VCDS programming. I really hope there is a way.

Just spoke with someone who is very knowledgeable on VAG coding. He said to check under "central electronics module coding" it would be listed as "cold diagnostics" or "LED" depending on the vehicle. Debating on purchasing a VCDS to disable cold diagnostics., is there anyone who can confirm that this indeed works?

Here is Central Electronics. As you can see there is no long coding helper. But the little help popup shows all the options.

I tried to put United States of America from VCDS like in upper photo on the last number from coding, I put 3 and I didn’t notice again after that to flicker🤷🏻‍♂️, only when I put ignition on, but after not. Sorry for bad English

And on the lights type, if I remember good, I put led day time running lights with or w/o washer.
