are they of high quality? I was looking at an old 07 catalog, and noticed that the 3.6 non prem. could be equipped with Cloth seats.

... at least they were here in Portugal. Now the base Q7 comes with cricket leather and Verano as a 900 EURO option.

Never sat well with me that a car costing almost 90,000 EURO in a VERY basic form should have cloth seats. Sometimes Audi amazes me for the wrong reasons, although it may be the fault of the stealerships over here who have to try and make a "competitive" price under huge taxes imposed by the government (car tax over here essentially doubles the cost of the Q7).

I test drove a used '07 with cloth and seats were a mess. The dealer made several attempts to get them cleaned before we looked at it but they ended up worse after cleaning. We ended up with a premium with leather.
