Hello all!

I have a 2007 Q7 that after reaching my destination today I shifted into park with the shifter, but the car is still in drive. Shifter is stuck in park. Set emergency brake and turned it off.

I pulled the trim pieces and am able to push the shifter release which lets me move up and down. Pulling it all the way down put me in Sport. Everytime I move it into park position it locks and I have to use the release lever again for the shifter to move freely, but it never will shift out of Sport.

Any ideas on how to get it to actually shift again? Thank you!

i have a similar problem ie stuck in park. where do I find the release button so I can drive to dealers.

It's telling you it doesn't want the drive to end.

Are you sure it is not the switch on the brake pedal that may be at fault as that unlocks the shifter?
