Yep exactly what I had done on the 2009 Q7 at 70K miles. Both of them were replaced .. I think there was a recall on them ... I would press Audi on this and check if at one point they had a recall on yours as well.

Did some searching and not seeing anything on a recall. Wonder if yours was done under warranty since it only had 70k miles...

Default Sorry to jump in here but.... (my2010 3.6)

How did you know the CATS were the problem? I am currently getting codes P0430 & P0420 which per wiki RossTech it could be a couple of items, either o2 sensors, exhaust leak and of course cats. I scanned it with my vag com and also took it to Auto Zone to get scanned, per Auto Zone, it is the CATS (not pre) and their price for a Magnaflow is $751.99. I would hate to spend that money only to realize the CATS were not the problem and I need to change o2 sensors. (Does anyone know how many sensors there are?) the ALLDATA I have for MY2010 is not accurate at all nor does cover any o2 sensors.

Thanks in advance.

My problem was the flex pipes rotted away. One completely separated and the other barely holding on by the mesh.
