Coolant puddle - one time occurance
Hi all - I have an 07 Q7 with 85k miles. After a recent 150 mile trip, I found a pizza sized puddle of slick, pink coolant under the car in the same area that the condenser usually drains.
The coolant level in the reservoir is still at 'Max' and appears to be clear and pink, not foggy or brown. The engine temp is right on the middle line where it has always been and there are no lights. I put a hank of construction paper under the car and have been driving it for a few days. Besides water, there have been no further leaks. Not even a drop, unless its so diluted by water that I can't feel or smell it. The coolant level has not moved on the gauge. Not really being a believer in mechanical flukes, I'm still watching it.
Any ideas?

I would be very careful, we also have a Q7 with what we thought was coolant issue.. Apart from in our case no obvious leaks (my wife drives the car daily), however last week the car went into limp mode on her way to work took it to the garage and still not sure what the heck is wrong after replacing the thermostat and water pump.. they now reckon it is the head gasket.
I have never owned a car that has cost me so much... the wing mirror went a year ago on both sides 400quid, some inlet valve or whatever was replaced in January and service 1,400, battery last week 250 and now this.. I have a 2002 Merc CLK it is as good as gold - done well over 200k miles. The Audi 75k miles and the amount spent per mile is crazy.
