I have a brand new '15 Q7 Sport. It has 550 miles. In the past week it has started creaking/clicking in the A pillar / behind the sunroof on the driver side. 70% of the time I hit a bump. Creak!!!

This is my 2nd brand new Q7 in the last 2 months. The first one did the same thing. My local dealer was baffled by the noise. Had a Audi USA rep come in town. They tried replacing the sunroof screws and holder it sits in. Still kept doing it. They narrowed down to bad welding in the roof. After red tape. Audi replaced the vehicle. It had 500 miles on it.

I have had the replacement new one for 3 weeks and this one is doing it also. It's very very frustrating!!! I feel cursed. After doing some research, this sounds like a problem with the pano sunroofs. Can anyone help???

I'm irritated by creaking/rattling noises in my '14 Q7 also - every little bump in the road makes it rattle. Very annoying. Sometimes if I open/close the rear sunroof it seems to subside for a little while, but it always comes back. If the car is loaded with people and luggage, it doesn't happen. I will be bringing this up with service on my next visit.

I had a 2010 Q7 with pano roof and currently a 2015 Q7 with pano roof and 20k miles. No strange creaks, pops or noises from either one.

wow so your new one has the exact same problem that the old one had which led to audi replacing the entire vehicle? Thats crazy, my 2013 q7 has no such problem fortunately.

I also have a rattle in my 2013 Q7. Sometimes worse than others. If I ride in the back seat and apply upward pressure to the back pano window it stops. Not sure if screws have become loose or what . Any suggestions?

I had a rattle above the driver's seat only in hot days in my 2013. They attempted twice in fixing the problem and at the end, the entire sunroof frame had to be replaced. It was defective. Its great now.

My Q7 is actually at the dealer as I type. They are appliying felt around the bracket of the pano roof. We will see what happens.

FWIW - same car, no squeak, creak or click... Did I just jinx myself?

Feel your pain. My '07 had those problems. I've seen people here delete sunroof option just for this reason.

Mine creaks a bit when it's frosty and has ice in all the various joints but otherwise it is quiet all the time and it has never had any attention or faults, just a bit of cleaning now and then and some PTFE type spray on the runners and seals etc... - this certainly could help.
