Default ■Emergency!!■ about Headlight Range Control Defective

Hi all

i really needs help about "Headlight Range Control Defective" warning light and actually headlight range control doesn't work

i have vagcom so i've ran and tried everything but still not working....

01535 - Control Circuit for Right Headlight Range Adjusting Motor

so. let me tell you what happened before that showed up.

i have ordered OEM headlight ballast for my audi q7 3.0TDI and i've just replaced it without any problem.

i've plugged power into the right headlight and i forgot to plug the left headlight power and i turned on car.

and that error showed up so i've shut off the car and plugged right side headlight power.

when i turned car on, the headlight always been up and down but this time it didn't work with that fault code up

i have reset everything from vagcom and still not working.

I am thinking put the original ballast back and try it again

plzzz help me out !! it is so emergency

I have to go back to the army base in a day so i don't have lots of time to figure the problem out

thanks all for help

You need to click the link I posted, and follow the headlight adaptation (Aiming) procedure.
Basic Setting

Headlight Adjustment

[Select]
[55 - Xenon Range]
[Basic Settings - 04]
Group 001
[Go!]
Activate the Basic Setting.
[ON/OFF/Next]
  • The meas. block field now shows "Wait" and should switch to "Adjust Headlights" then (this may take up to 10 seconds).
  • Adjust the headlights using their manual adjusting screws as referenced against a suitable aiming target.
[ON/OFF/Next]
The adjustment should now be learned.
[Done, Go Back]
Don't forget to check/clear fault codes afterwards.
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]

Did that get your headlight to re-align?

Try this one:
https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...non-Headlights

Its going to be that sort of procedure that will clear your error. That comes from this thread:
