Default Exterior Mirror

Passenger side mirror on our 2007 will adjust up and down, but not left to right. Any common causes for this? Anything I can check?

Thanks

Just got a call from the dealer. They said it needs a 'mirror adjuster' and would be $180. I passed, but hopefully someone here can help me with this part. Surely its something I can do if I could find the part.

Thanks

There is a vendor who posts here www.audiusaparts.com and can get the parts for you at a good discount. I just looked up and found "adjust motor". Depending on if you have the memory package, or not the part costs $69 or $49 through them(25% off retail). Not sure how hard it is to install though.

Part # from dealer was 4L0-959-578-A.

Anyone know how bad this is to change?

Thanks

I have this exact same problem with my '07. It would be interesting to know what you find out.
