Has your Q7 had a front end collision? I'd be super concerned about random moving oil leaks in my engine. Any other changes in fluids going on? You might be losing lubrication in other engine components that will catastrophically fail later on and using a new oil will certainly not help. I'm not a mechanic, but this seems really concerning.

I doubt am loosing lubrication. This engine feels smooth, other than spots of oil on the floor. I top off as necessary

I'm not sure if this is correct, but I think Mobil 1 comes in the correct viscosity for your car in a high mileage formula. I doubt if that would help with your leaks.

ATP-205 Seal Rejuvenator. I bought a bottle of it on amazon for about $10 dollars US. (I’m in Washington State, not sure where you’re at).
I as well have the Q7 with the 4.2 FSI, mine is an 07’ with 153,000 miles.
I just got through having my camshaft oil seal replaced, as well as the valley pan gasket, and both upper intake manifold gaskets. The oil leaks slowed down significantly, as it was leaving a huge puddle wherever I parked. However, I still have some small drips that haven’t stopped, 3 to be exact. These drips are closer to the rear of the engine and I’m really hoping it’s not the rear main because I am absolutely not interested in paying to drop the transmission to replace a seal that “might” fix the leak.
As for the ATP-205, it was actually recommended to me by a user on this forum. I haven’t personally noticed a huge difference but I also had those oil seals replaced at the same time as the ATP additive was in the engine. So I can’t really make a fair review of the product just yet.
The important thing to note is that ATP-205 is not a typical “stop leak” product. It’s not thick honey looking crap that just clogs up small passages and temporarily stops a leak, as well as clogs up all kinds of other things. ATP-205 is actually a seal rejuvenator, so the compounds in the additive help to soften and swell some of those old gaskets and help bring them back to life. If anything I do consider it as a good additive to help prolong the life of those seals and help prevent the drying out and cracking that naturally occurs with any rubber gasket. May want to check into that product and give it a try.
It will not fix gaskets that are severely damaged or cracked.
