So this isnt something you see on an Audi every day, but here yeh go.. used ProClips to help facilitate this, the radio unit is in the spare tire area.

Looks slick! My cell is mounted with a Proclip right where your handset is - makes sense. Do you have pics of where/how you routed the cable to the external antenna? There’ve been a few times I wanted one of the cellular amplifiers when out in the sticks or on rural highways but wasn’t sure how best to route it all.

yeah I'll get some pics once I finish that up.. its running behind the roof rail and goes in the rear hatch at one of the hinges.. I ordered a sample piece of vinyl wrap that hopefully is a good enough match to my color I can use it to tape down the black antenna wire and it'll be less obvious.

It looks like you mounted your antenna to your roof rack? I used a mag-mount on my previous cars, but this is the first one I've owned with a sunroof, and I haven't researched my options...

It's aluminum, so mag mount is out.. also makes hatch lip really thick and I couldn't find one that fit.. was not gonna drill so roof rack was best option, and it swivels on impact with no damage

I found this thread while looking for ideas. I have my eye on buying a '16 TT roadster and am hoping I can install a rig without ruining the looks of the car. I managed to pull off installing a radio in my '02 Miata. Main radio is in the right rear fender forward of the trunk and the head under the dash with a speaker between the seats. I used a trunk lip mount with a low profile antenna. It's been a great setup. I have pix on QRZ.com.

@dreadlocks Which ProClips specifically did you use? Ditto for antenna mount on the rack. Thanks & 73, KS9J
