Heated Wheel Swap
Hey All-
Been reading a bunch and searching eBay all over the globe to see if this is possible. I currently have a '15 Q7 S-Line 3.0T and am looking to keep the same basic wheel but add heat!!!
Does anyone know if it is possible to swap this steering wheel (2014 S6 Wheel) for mine and do some quick VAGCOM changes to get heat?
Thanks.

That looks like a 4M wheel; you need to stay within in your builds years (around 11-15 4L). Then you'll also need to get a new clock spring with the heated steering wheel pins to connect up to the steering wheel. The easiest way to know your steering wheels, is to look at the multi-function buttons, those shouldn't look like yours. On the left, yours should say mode up top, not have arrows.

The Q7 of that era would require a wheel with the proper controls and the S6 wheel would not have those. The easiest way is to match up the same style wheel you have now so you can reuse the airbag to save some funds. The Q7 heated wheels had the heating control as a button on the wheel on the left side controls. You would want to check what the part number of the steering wheel controller and slip ring would be to see if it can be reused along with some added wiring.
If you are interested I can run through options via PM/email: contact@europrice.us
Cheers,

I wish you luck. I added a paddle shift heated wheel to my 2012 and could never get the heat to work. I went to an audi specialist who even tried to change the module that interfaces the wheel functions to the car but together we could not get it to work, however the paddle shift option and everything else works perfectly.
