Ok, I purchased a 2008 Audi Q7 3.6L little over a month ago, The Oil Pressure engine light has come on 2 times in the last week or so. It seems like it comes on when the engine is cold in the morning. Stays on for a little bit like, 5-10 seconds then goes off and never comes back on again. When I purchased the vehicle from the dealership the said they changed the oil. I checked the oil and it looks fine. I have a VCDS and no error codes. One guy told me it is the PCV Valve and one guy even said you need a new engine. Any Suggestions? Again I have a VCDS so I can run some tests/check things

Jeff, do you know how many miles on it? Do you know the history? Problems?

75,000 miles and do not know the history, Bought it from a Toyota dealership in Houston Texas the indicated nothing mechanically wrong with it? I drive it around the rest of the day and not once did the light come back on. Seems to only happen when the engine is cold

UPDATE: Drove the Q7 around quite a bit yesterday and this morning and the light never come on even though this morning it was cold. Wierd. Just left for lunch drove 10 miles and nothing. Got in the car to come back and when I first started it up, Oil Pressure light flashed for a couple of seconds, Put in reverse then drive drove 10 yards then light went off and never come back on all the way back.

and the guys told me that the oil as very very dirty, even black. and there was at least a quart more if not more. So we will see if that was the issue. fingers crossed. I had an Audi Mechanic tell me too much oil could cause the light to come on sporadically.
